Another medal around Soufiane El Bakkali's neck. After winning gold at the recent World Championships in Budapest, the Moroccan Olympic champion won again in China. It was during the 12th stage of the Diamond League, on Saturday September 2.
El Bakkali won the 3,000 m steeplechase with a time of 8min 10sec 31/100ths, setting a new meeting record in the process.Ethiopia's Samuel Firewu took silver (8:11.29), while Kenya's Amos Serem was 3rd (8:14.41).
