Already qualified for the 2023 AFCON, Senegal and Mali will take advantage of the international break in October to play friendly matches. The two nations will face off during this period in preparation for the AFCON, and before the first two days of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers kick off in November. The date of the match has been made official by the Malian Football Federation, and Senegal vs Mali will be played on Saturday October 21. The Stade Abdoulaye Wade in Diamniadio, on the outskirts of Dakar, will host the match.
