Senegalese international midfielder Nampalys Mendy, who recently joined RC Lens as a free agent, has been named in the squad for the Champions League. His arrival at the end of the mercato, and the fact that he did not take part in the team's preparations, will not have been a hindrance to his inclusion in Lens' squad. Other Africans are also on the list. They are Malian Massadio Haidara, Ghanaian Salis Abdul Samed and Guinean Morgan Guilavogui.
