Ferdinand Omanayala, the Kenyan sprinter and African 100m record-holder, finished 3rd in the Diamond League final at the Eugene meeting with a time of 9'85. Victory went to former world champion Chris Coleman, who crossed the line first in 9'83. Recent world champion Noah Lyles finished 2nd with the same time as Omanyala, beating him by a dive in the photo-finish.
