CAF: Three-year partnership formalized with New World TV

CAF: Three-year partnership formalized with New World TV

After settling its dispute with the beIN group, the Confederation of African Football continues to move forward with its media partnerships. On November 10, New World TV announced that it had won the rights to broadcast all CAF competitions, both free-to-air and pay-TV. The contract covers the next three years, until the end of 2025.In all, 13 competitions, including the 2023 and 2025 editions of the African Cup of Nations, will be broadcast by the Togolese channel from Lomé to the rest of Africa, in French, English and Portuguese, as well as in African languages such as Lingala, Bambara, Ewe and Wolof.

"CAF's choice of New World TV was guided by three factors: the quality of its technical broadcasting, the quality of its editorial team, and the quality and abundance of its distribution throughout Africa", said Louis Biyao, New World TV's lawyer, at a press conference in Togo. Competitions such as the CAF Champions League, beach soccer and women's competitions are included in the partnership.
