Day 3 of the Women's World Handball Championship kicked off on Monday December 4. Cameroon and Angola took the opportunity to qualify for the next round. The Indomitable Lionesses overcame Paraguay in a very tight match (26-23).
Third with a better goal difference than the Paraguayans (-33-38) at kick-off, the Cameroonians just needed a draw to qualify. They went one better, recording their first win of the Mondial.
Angola, meanwhile, drew with Iceland (26-26). With this draw, the African champions validate their ticket for the next round. They overtook the Icelanders thanks to a better goal difference (-7 against -15). The Angolans thus finish third in Group D behind France and Slovenia.
