South African coach Pitso Mosimane has reacted to Jay-Jay Okocha's statement that he would be happy to have him at the helm of the Super Eagles."Of course, I think Pitso is undoubtedly one of the best African coaches. His track record is there for all to see.If we can have a coach like that, he would add great value to our soccer, a coach who has a lot of experience at home in Africa. I don't know how true it is [the rumors], but of course, a coach like that is welcome," he had said.
Mosimane posted a message on social network X, which reflects his honor, to have been quoted by Okocha. "The legendary JJ. Have you seen his images when he played? He used to upset European defenders. Same class as Ronaldinho. A gentleman too," he reacted.
Mosimane has been mentioned as one of Jose Peseiro's potential successors. The technician had also declared his wish to coach an African team in the World Cup, citing Nigeria as a team that made him dream with its fiery attack.
