Walid Regragui, who has been retained as head coach of the Atlas Lions, did indeed tender his resignation when he met with the federation's directors. He had promised to do so if he failed to reach the semi-finals of the AFCON.
Retaining his position, the Moroccan coach is now preparing for the upcoming events such as the AFCON 2025 and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
