Côte d'Ivoire won the 34th edition of the AFCON in front of their home crowd. Jean Louis Gasset, who was replaced by his assistant Emerse Faé after the group phase, had called up 27 players for the competition. Only three of them did not play in the tournament.
These were goalkeepers Badra Ali Sangaré and Charles Folly. The former was the starter at the previous AFCON in Cameroon, but has lost his place since the arrival a few months ago of Yahia Fofana, who played every minute of Côte d'Ivoire's 7 matches at AFCON 2023. And finally, the 3rd unused player is defender Ismaël Diallo. The 26-year-old plays for Hajduk Split in Croatia.
