AWCON 2022: Cameroon's list unveiled

They will be 26 Indomitable Lionesses in Morocco. Cameroon coach Gabriel Zabo has unveiled his list of players selected to take part in the 2022 Women's Nations Cup. The technician has called for a group of 26 players and the main information comes from the absence of Raïssa Feudjio. The midfielder, who has played in four consecutive African Cup of Nations tournaments, will not be taking part in her fifth continental competition due to an injury that has not yet healed. On the other hand, the usual captain Gabrielle Aboudi Onguéné will be in the game. The CSKA Moscow striker, who was absent during the previous Indomitable Lionesses' training camp, will be present to lead the Lionesses in group B where Cameroon will face Togo, Tunisia and Zambia.

The Indomitable Lionesses have never lifted the African Trophy as they came close to the finals twice. Their eternal rivals the Super Falcons of Nigeria beat Cameroon in the last game both teams played in the finals in Yaounde in 2016.
