Bayern Munich: Updates on Sadio Mané

Sadio Mané (avec les béquilles) va manquer la reprise de la Bundesliga, le 20 janvier.
Bayern Munich: Updates on Sadio Mané

The Senegalese striker, who suffered a fibula injury in November, will miss the start of the Bundesliga season on January 20. However, he should be available for the first leg of the round of 16 against PSG on February 14 at the Parc des Princes. He continues his rehabilitation.

What happens to Sadio Mané? Two weeks after the World Cup, Bayern Munich resumes training on Tuesday, January 3. On the menu: medical tests for the first day and, on Wednesday 4, back on the pitch of the Säbenerstrasse (the Bavarian training center), six-day training camp in Doha (Qatar) and friendly match against Red Bull Salzburg (January 13 in Munich).

A week later, the German champion will travel to Leipzig for the resumption of the Bundesliga. And on February 14 at the Parc des Princes, Bayern Munich will play its Champions League round of 16 first leg against PSG. If Sadio Mané will not resume training before the beginning of February, L'Équipe believes that the Senegalese striker has a real chance to be in Paris in a little over a month.

The French sports daily reveals that the two-time African Ballon d'Or winner, who injured his right fibula, is continuing his rehabilitation. He was successfully operated on November 17 in Innsbruck, Austria.

This injury had cost him a participation in the 2022 World Cup with Senegal. His absence was felt by the African champions, who fell in the round of 16 to a strong England team.

Transferred from Liverpool to Bayern Munich last summer, Sadio Mané scored eleven goals and provided four assists in 23 games. The Lion of Teranga was injured on November 8, in the 15th minute of the 6-1 victory over Werder Bremen. He tried to keep his place before going off in the 20th minute.
