The last first leg matches of the 1st preliminary round of the CAF Cup were played on Sunday, September 11. The Nigerians of Kwara and the Libyans of Al Akhdar have recorded large successes. The return matches are scheduled for this weekend.
After Friday and Saturday, the 1st preliminary round of the CAF Cup continued on Sunday with the last matches of the first leg. First game of the afternoon, Al-Hilal of South Sudan hosted Kipanga of Zanzibar. The two teams shared the spoils (1-1). There was also no winner between Mbabane Highlanders (Eswatini) and Royal AM (South Africa) who played a goalless draw (0-0). The same score between LISCR FC (Liberia) who received the Ivorians of Sporting Gognoa. At home, the Moroccan FAR Rabat were held in check by Remo Stars of Nigeria (1-1).
Kwara FC of Nigeria was on the other hand without mercy against the Nigerians of Douanes Niamey, with a large victory (3-0). Kwara FC can already see the next preliminary round of the CAF Cup. On the same score (3-0), Al Akhdar (Libya) is at home of Ahli Khartoum (Sudan). The other Sudanese club in the running in this 1st preliminary round, Al-Hilal got a short victory (1-0) over Geita Gold (Tanzania).
