Accra Hearts of Oak on the other hand recorded a victory at home to climb up the table whiles defending champions Asante Kotoko tasted a defeat away in Dawu.
HEARTS OF OAK 3-1 BEREKUM CHELSEA
Accra Hearts of Oak are back to their winning ways with a sweet 3-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea at the Accra sports stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The fierce encounter saw no goals up until the later minutes of the second half when Berekum Chelsea defender, Zakaria Fuseini scored an unfortunate own goal in the 82nd minute.
Accra Hearts of Oak quickly built upon on with a second goal courtesy Benjamin York in the 87th minute.
The Bibiries managed to pull one back through forward Kusi Pandrous in the 92nd minute, but their efforts were in vain as Victor Aidoo sealed the win for Hearts of Oak with the third goal in the 93rd minute.
DREAMS FC 2-0 ASANTE KOTOKO
Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a consecutive away defeat of the season, losing 2-0 to Dreams FC in Dawu on Sunday afternoon.
Despite their heavy 4-0 victory over Accra Lions on midweek, Asante Kotoko couldn’t replicate their fine as they were rendered powerless at the theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
Gael Ahorlu shot the Believers ahead in the 14th minute with a wonderful strike.
Dreams FC resisted all attacks from the visitors and added the second goal of the day in the 59th minute through Agyenim Boateng.
The victory now move Dreams FC out of the trenches to mid-table.
NSOATREMAN 2-1 ACCRA GREAT OLYMPICS
Nsoatreman bounced back from their 2-0 defeat to League leaders Aduana FC in midweek to record a 2-1 victory over Great Olympics to maintain their beautiful home record.
The visitors struck first at Nana Konamansah Park in the 10th minute through Aryeetey Ayikwei.
Nsoatreman however responded quickly with an equalizer from Baba Mahama a minute after.
Nana Kwame Jr. headed home a corner kick from Emmanuel Kotei in the 33rd minute to put the home-side to the lead at halftime.
The wonder club fought harder back in the second half for the equalizer but all efforts failed to materialized as Nsoatreman emerged victorious.
