Football - Cameroon: Elite One: Match day 7 review and goal scorers

Match day 7 of the Cameroon MTN Elite One is complete as teams now get ready for the World Cup break with Cameroon taking part in the jamboree. But before the break, not all teams are entirely happy, as some will be headed on a downer.

PWD kept its inconsistency with a defeat against Djiko FC. PWD has either won or lost in their last 6 games played, with no draw recorded. Isaac Bakinde got the lone goal for Djiko FC as they piped the 2020 Cameroon cup champions.

Colombe and coach Anicet Mbarga Foe were defeated for the first time this season against a UMS of Loum side gaining confidence under Emmanuel Ndoumbe Bosso

Surprisingly at home, Elite One holders Cotonsport of Garoua lost heavily to Canon of Yaounde via a 0-4 scoreline

Aigle Royal of Menoua bounced back from their sour defeat against PWD on match day 6 to defeat Renaissance, who themselves were on the back of a win against Canon on match day 6. Renaissance seems to be the Robin Good of the championship (taking from the poor and giving the rich).

Amih Renzoh scored the first hat-trick of the season as Renard bounced back to winning ways against last season's vice champions, Eding Sport.

Just like Apejes, Astres equally picked up her first 3 points after a slender 1-0 win. The boys of coach Tonye Tonye would care less about the narrow victory, sets them off and running for the campaign.
