Football - Eto’o to attend Tanzania Football Summit 2022 in Zanzibar

Four time African player of the Year Samuel Eto'o Fils will attend the Tanzania Football Summit 2022 slated for June 24-25th in Zanzibar.

The Summit organized by AfriSoccer, a football and business consulting firm in Tanzania will attract several dignitaries.

“We are excited that Eto’o has accepted our invitation and will join other dignitaries to share ideas during the Summit,” says Peter Simon, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Afrisoccer.

Eto'o, also the current President of the Cameroon Football Federation, played for top clubs like Barcelona, Mallorca, Inter Milan and Chelsea among others.

“We are ready to host a big Summit and to exchange ideas that will eventually contribute to the development of Football not only in Tanzania, but Africa. The Summit will take place at Golden Tulip Zanzibar Airport Hotel in Zanzibar,” added Peter Simon.

The other guests expected to attend the Summit include; Arvam Grant (former Chelsea coach), Marcio Maximo (former Tanzania coach), Leodegar tenga (Chairman of the Tanzania National Sports Council) and Dr. Jomo Sono (Club Owner in South Africa).

Lucas Redebe (Former South African International), Marcos Pelegrin (MD for Laliga in South Africa), Khalilou Fadiga (Former Senegal International) and Senzo Hammilton Mazingiza (Administrator at Young Africans SC, Tanzania) are among the other dignitaries expected.

The Summit will have six topics of discussion; Football beyond COVID-19, Football business investments, Football leadership and management, Sports Law, Sports tourism and the use of sport to address social issues in communities around Tanzania and Africa.

Last year the inaugural Tanzania Football Summit was held in Dar es Salaam.
