The second day of the West Africa Champions Cup (WACC) continued on Tuesday, August 23 at the sports center of Yorokoguiyah, 70 km from Conakry. The Horoya AC who won the inaugural match has continued her fine form. The Guinean champion recorded their second victory in a row by winning (2-1) against its runner-up, the Academy SOAR.

Daouda Camara opened the scoring in the 11th minute for Horoya AC before Alseny Soumah added to the score in the 35th minute. After the break, Etienne Bongono reduced the score (73rd) for the academicians of SOAR.

In the other match of the day, Casa Sports of Senegal drew 1-1 with Djoliba AC of Mali. Amadou Bene Coly had opened the score for the Senegalese champion (31st) before seeing Djoliba AC come back to score (71st) through Mamadou Sakho.

With this draw, Casa Sports is in second place in the standings with 4 points, two points behind Horoya AC, which is in first place.

Djoliba AC is in third place with 1 point and SOAR Academy closes the gap with 0 point.
