Ghana Premier League match day 18 wrap: Aduana Stars beat Hearts to extend lead, Nsoatreman share spoils with Kotoko as Bechem demolish Olympics

Asante Kotoko drew 0-0 with Nsoatreman FC in Ghana Premier League

The second round of the betPawa Premier league has kicked off with some blistering performances across all centers.

Aduana Stars defeated Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra sports stadium to extend the lead at the top whiles Nsoatreman holds Asante Kotoko to a goalless draw.

ACCRA HEARTS OF OAK 0-2 ADUANA STARS

Aduana Stars have completed the double over Accra Hearts of Oak for the first time in a while as they beat the Phobians by 2-0 at the Accra sports stadium.

The Phobians after their 3-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea, failed to live to expectations as they fell at home to Paa Kwesi Fabin's men.

The first half ended in a goalless draw after several attempts on goal.

Aduana Stars went ahead just a minute into the second half when forward Isaac Mintah pounced on a lose ball in the 18yard box to slot home.

Isaac Mintah was again on the scoresheet in the 63rd minute with another classy finish to ensure Aduana record their second victory of the season over the Phobians.

The victory means Aduana Stars are 7points clear at the top ahead of Asante Kotoko who are 3rd placed and 5points ahead of 2nd placed Bechem United.

BECHEM UNITED 3-0 ACCRA GREAT OLYMPICS

Bechem United demolished Accra Great Olympics at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour park in Bechem on Sunday afternoon.

The Hunters who drew goalless draw with Aduana Stars last weekend bounced back to grab a big win at home over the Dade boys.

Abdul Karim shot coach Kasim Mingle's side ahead in the 26th minute with a perfect effort.

Two second half brace from Hafiz Konkoni in the 52nd and 78th minute ensured that Bechem United dispatch the Wonder club at home.

The victory means Bechem have leapfrogged Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak to 2nd place on the table.

DREAMS FC 1-0 BIBIANI GOLDSTARS

Dreams FC records another home victory as they beat Bibiani Goldstars at the theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

Agyenim Boateng's 58th minute strike was enough to win it all for the Believers who have won their second consecutive home victory, having beaten Asante Kotoko in their previous home game.
