Ghana Premier League Matchday 27 Wrap: Asante Kotoko back to winning ways as Hearts shut Dreams

The 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League continues this weekend across all league centers that saw some interesting score lines. 

League leaders, Asante Kotoko bounced back from a two consecutive defeats to record a slim 1:0 victory over West African Football Academy at the RedBull arena in Sogapoke on Saturday afternoon.

Cameroonian forward Frank Mbella registered his 18th league goal of the season to hand coach Ogum an important victory on his return to his former club.

Accra Hearts of Oak defeated Dreams FC 3:1 at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday.

Former U20 skipper, Daniel Afriyie Barnie shot the Phobians ahead in the 4th minute of the game.

The Phobians doubled their lead few minutes later through Suraj Seidu's beautiful effort.
Agyenim Boateng pulled one back before half time to reduce the deficit to one from the spotkick after Samuel Boateng was brought down by Mohammed Alhassan.

Skipper Abdul Jalilu's error in the second half was enough for Samuel Boadu's men as they climb to the 3rd position on the league log.

Elsewhere in Obuasi, AshantiGold SC demolished Berekum Chelsea 5-1. Unstoppable Yaw Annor scored four times for the miners as they demolished the Bibires at the Len Clay sports stadium.
