Ghana Women’s Premier League match day 10 wrap: Hasaacas Ladies and Ampem Darkoa tastes defeat, Army Ladies wins big as Thunder Queens holds Police Ladies

The 2022/2023 Ghana Women’s League entered match day ten as giants, Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies tasted defeat in their various Zones .

Faith Ladies fell at home to Soccer Intellectuals in what seemed to be an opportunity to move on top of the league table.

BERRY LADIES 2-1 HASAACAS LADIES

The woes of former champions, Hasaacas Ladies continued as they suffered another defeat at the Madina Astro turf to Berry Ladies FC.

Coach Basigi's side fell to a 2-1 defeat to the Accra based side in a very fierce battle.

Former Hasaacas Ladies loanee, Jafar Rahama shot the home side ahead in the 35th minute to ensure Berry Ladies ends the first half with a lead.

Cynthia Boakye Yiadom doubled the lead for Berry Ladies FC with a fine finish in the 63rd minute.

Hasaacas Ladies managed to pull one back in the 90+1 minute through Veronica Kumah Baah but wasn't enough to salvage a point for the visitors as they recorded their second consecutive defeat of the season.

ARMY LADIES 4-0 LADYSTRIKERS FC

Army Ladies FC handed LadyStrikers a whopping 4-0 defeat to move top of the league table in the southern zone.

The service ladies have been very consistent this season, recording their 6th victory of the season.

A hat trick from Zenabu Mumuni and a solo from Nancy Opoku helped Army Ladies FC to move up the league table with Hasaacas and Faith Ladies dropping points.

NORTHERN LADIES 3-2 AMPEM DARKOA LADIES

Northern Ladies FC emerged victorious in a 5-goal thriller at the Aliu Mahama sports stadium as they beat league leaders Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

The Tamale based club came down from two goals to record a 3-2 victory over the Nanamma.

Two quick goals from Elizabeth Owusu and Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah in the 1st and 12th minute respectively, wasn't enough as the home-side responded with three goals later in the second half.

A brace from Seidu Faiza and Mohammed Wasima's 62nd strike was enough to complete the comeback for Northern Ladies FC at home.
