After publishing a list of 26 players on Wednesday night, Cameroon became the first African team to hit the road to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup competition.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have today Thursday November 10, 2022 left base (Yaounde) for Abu Dhabi, after camping in the nation’s capital from November 3-10.
Coach Rigobert Song, members staff, including five other players; Davis Epassy, Ngom Mbeleki, Marou Souaibou, Vincent Aboubakar and Fai Collins constitute the delegation heading to Abu Dhabi.
Rigobert Song had on Wednesday evening in front of their home crowd settled for a draw game 1-1 against Jamaica with most of the players not making the trip to Abu Dhabi, Cameroon hopes to complete the team with European based players from their various clubs.
Cameroon will play its last friendly encounter against Panama on Friday, November 18 at the Mohammed Bin Zayed stadium, before kick-starting their competition 6 days later, against Switzerland – at the Al Wakrah Sports Complex.
