Uganda's Vipers SC sign Ivory Coast forward Titty

Uganda Premier League reigning champions Vipers SC have boosted their squad with the signing of Ivory Coast forward Ahmed Desire Titty.

“ I am happy to join Vipers and come to face a new football challenge,” said Titty after signing a two year contract on Monday.

The new signing is expected to play a key part in helping the team retain the League title and battle in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League where they are in the group stage.

The 24 year-old striker joined the Ugandan giants after parting ways with Tunisian side EO Sidi Bouzid.

He has also played for Kuwait sides Al-Sulaibikhat, Al-Sahel (2019/20), Al-Jahra SC (2020/21) and Al-Shabab in the 2021/22 season. He also had a short stint with Portuguese division two side Academico Viseu.

He becomes the second foreign player the club has signed in the mid season transfer window after DR Congo’s Serge Robert Mwenge.

Last week the Club unveiled a new coach Roberto Luiz Bianchi Pellister. The Brazilian-Spaniard took over Brazilian Roberto Oliveira who stepped down two weeks ago and immediately joined Tanzania Premier League side, Simba Sports Club.

Vipers SC will for the first time play in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League group stage where they face Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Horoya (Guinea) and Simba SC (Tanzania) in Group C.
