WAFCON2022: Fatima Bartali speaks on Morocco's preparations ahead of the 2022 African Women Cup of Nations

Former Football Project Manager of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fatima Bartali has confirmed Morocco's readiness ahead of the 14th edition of the African Women Cup of Nations starting on 2nd July 2022.

According to the Moroccan women football advocate, the people of Morocco are ready to welcome all participating nations alongside journalist and supporters for the great tournament.

"People of Morocco love football and hosting the Women African Cup of Nations is a big event for us.
A lot of things have changed since we launched the women football development project two years ago

Morocco have hosted a lot of big events in the past years and we are ready to receive and welcome all the national teams, journalists and supporters for this important competition."-she told Ghanaian journalist, Lea Carolina

Ms Batali further revealed that, the host nation have had enough preparations for the tournament despite not playing in the qualifiers.

"Despite not participating in the qualifiers, we have had a year and half preparations and i think Morocco is ready to host this championship. The people of Morocco are really interested in this tournament and they can't wait for it.

This is a big platform to showcase to the rest of the world that there are great talents in Africa", she added.

This year's tournament which is being hosted in Morocco will be competed by 12 nations (Morocco, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Senegal, Cameroon, Zambia, Tunisia, Togo, Nigeria, South Africa, Burundi and Botswana).
