FIFA is launching its final phase of ticket sales for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on Tuesday, September 27. With just a few weeks to go before the start of the first World Cup to be held in an Arab country, demand is far greater than supply. That's why this sale is organized on a "first come, first served" basis and "will remain open until the end of the competition," says FIFA in a statement.
Tickets for the general public will be sent out in the form of electronic tickets. A ticketing application, which customers will need to download to their mobile devices, will be launched by FIFA in mid-October. Purchased tickets will be accessible on the app and will be activated upon arrival at the stadium.
As a reminder, the 2022 World Cup will start on November 20th with the host country facing Ecuador as the opening match. Africa has five representatives: Cameroon, Ghana, Tunisia, Morocco and Senegal.
