Villarreal have announced the signing of Serge Aurier. The Ivorian international has signed for the Spanish club for one year. But he will have two more years as an option, if he performs well. The Ivorian right-back will also be reunited with his former coach at PSG, Unaï Emerey. Serge Aurier was indeed with him during the 2016/2017 season.
Aurier is now back at a club, a few weeks after terminating his contract with Tottenham. He adds to Villareal, recent winners of the Europa League and who are competing in the Champions League this season. He joins several other African internationals such as Algerian Aissa Mandi, Senegalese Boulaye Dia and Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze.
