The bank account figures of Cameroon's national team players continue to climb. Since the beginning of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2021, Vincent Aboubakar and his teammates have already pocketed a nice sum. That is to say about 45.5 million CFA francs (a little over 69,000 euros). And they have just received a bonus of 50 million CFA francs.
The Cameroonian Minister of Sports himself made the announcement to the group coached by the Portuguese Antonio Conceiçao. "After the payment of attendance and participation bonuses a few days ago, those of qualification for the last 16 have also been fully positioned," said Narcisse Mouelle Kombi. These are: the attendance bonus (445,000 CFA francs); the participation bonus (30 million CFA francs); and the bonus for qualifying for the last 16 of the competition (15 million CFA francs). In addition to these bonuses, a bonus of 50 million CFA francs (76,224 euros) offered by Fecafoot to all players. The Indomitable Lions face the Comoros on Monday 24 January. In case of victory and qualification for the quarter-finals, each Cameroonian player will receive an additional 9 million CFA francs (13,700 euros).
