Gabon are one step closer to the last 16 of the African Cup of Nations. The Panthers drew against the Black Stars of Ghana. Without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mario Lemina, Gabon dominated the match especially in the second half. Johann Obiang's team-mates had many chances in the first half but struggled to put the ball in the net.
This lack of realism cost the Gabonese dearly. Andre Ayew opened the scoring with a superb shot (19th). The Gabonese continue to push multiplying the opportunities throughout the match. An agitated end to the match
Gabon's equalizer sparked a controversy. The Black Stars have indeed criticized the Gabonese for their lack of fair play.
