AFCON 2023 Qualifiers: Friday's results - Highlights

Cameroon was forced to draw, Friday, March 24, by Namibia (1-1) in the third day of the AFCON 2023 qualifications. Tunisia and Guinea did not tremble against their opponents.

Cameroon had a close call. In front of their home crowd, the Indomitable Lions drew with Namibia (1-1) on Friday, March 24, as part of Day 3 of the qualifiers. The visitors struck first thanks to a goal by Peter Shalulile (26th). Surprised at the beginning, Rigobert Song's men tried everything to come back. Guinea sovereign in front of Ethiopia

Guinea won easily against Ethiopia (2-0) in group D. François Kamano (39th) and Mohamed Bayo (73rd) led theirs to victory. With this success, the men of Kaba Diawara take the second place in the group, equal on points with the leader, Egypt (6 pts). Malawi and Ethiopia close the march with 3 pts each.


Too easy for Tunisia

Tunisia has not made in the lace against Libya in group J. The Eagles of Carthage swept the Knights of the Mediterranean (3-0). Youcef Msakni has given too much advantage to his team (12th). He will be imitated a few minutes later by Ali Maaloul on penalty (21st). Jouini sealed the fate of the match by scoring the third goal at the end of the second half (86th).
