BAL 2022: REG and SLAC play for qualification

The BAL offers nice matches in perspective this Monday. With notably Seydou Legacy Athletic Club (SLAC) which could validate its qualification against AS Salé.

Second of the Sahara Conference, Seydou Legacy Athletic Club (6 pts +8) plays its qualification this Monday against AS Salé (6th, 4 pts +1). Qualified and leader of the Conference, US Monastir makes its 5th and last outing against Rwanda Energy Group (3rd, 5 pts).

The Guinean club must win to avoid any surprises. SLAC has made a 2 out of 4. A success would allow him to validate his ticket for the finals of the BAL, scheduled from 21 to 28 May in Rwanda.

On its part, AS Salé is facing an obligation to win. The Moroccan team has lost two games and won one. It will want to return to the race and get its ticket for the finals of the BAL. This match will pit the two best players of the tournament against each other: Terrel De Von Stoglin (AS Salé, 107 pts) and Marcus Cramford (SLAC, 88 pts). However, AS Salé have a final match against Duc on Tuesday.

The Tunisians from Monastir are aiming for a clean sweep and will want to finish top of the Sahara Conference. But it will be no easy task as the Rwandans will be trying to bounce back after their setback against Duc. A win will take REG to the next round, knowing that they will have 8 points at worst. In case of defeat, Rwanda Energy Group will have a last chance to make up for it on Tuesday against Ferroviario (4th, 5 pts -27).

This Monday, we could therefore know two new qualified teams. But if REG and AS Salé fail to qualify on Tuesday, they will have to get out their calculators. We could end up with a tie between four teams.
