Sport News Africa launches its Fantasy League! Discover the African Fantasy Stars, which will enable you to play in the most prestigious competition in African soccer, which kicks off on January 13, 2024 in Côte d'Ivoire.
Who hasn't dreamed of taking on the role of coach, putting together a list of players for a major competition and fielding a team to take on their opponents? The African Cup is the perfect opportunity to do just that. Following the success of the first edition launched in January 2022, Sport News Africa is giving all Fantasy League fans the chance to compete on African Fantasy Stars, throughout the competition.
African Fantasy Stars is a free online game in which you can take on the role of coach of your own team and challenge your friends in closed leagues, prestigious partners such as Blaise Matuidi who joins the competition to challenge you, or take on the other players in the world league to try to top the overall standings at the end of the tournament on February 11. Playing African Fantasy Stars is simple. You're in charge of a selection and will recruit the players of your choice into your team. The only constraints are that you have a limited budget and can select no more than three players from the same country among the nations taking part in the Competition. Choose the tactical set-up you'd like to play in, and select your captain and substitutes.
And then? Validate your team and follow the players' performances throughout the tournament, because it's your players' actions on the pitch that will earn you points in the African Fantasy Stars. You'll need to make the right choices and keep an eye out for in-form players who can help you win maximum points as the matches progress. All the more reason to be thrilled during the African Cup of Nations.
