Sport News Africa: Tell us about the circumstances surrounding your first call-up?
Régis N'do : I must say that I was on a training camp with my club when I received the call-up to come and defend Burkina Faso's national colors. I was really happy. At the same time, I captured the letter and sent it to my dad.
Sport News Africa: How do you feel about your first cap for Burkina Faso?
Régis N'do: It's been very interesting for me. I made the most of those ten minutes against Niger. We'll see what happens in the future.
Sport News Africa: How is your club season going?
Régis N'do: The first part of the season was difficult for me because I was injured a lot. I'm playing more in the second half of the season. Our objective hasn't changed. In other words, we're playing for survival.
Sport News Africa: What are your ambitions with the Etalons of Burkina Faso?
Régis N'do: The national team has made me want to play in the Africa Cup of Nations. So my ambition is to take part in the AFCON with my country. But before we qualify, we're going to have to do well in our qualifiers. So my ambition is also to contribute enormously to my country's qualification for the AFCON.
Sport News Africa: Speaking of the AFCON, what was your reaction to the news that you have not been selected to take part in the AFCON 2023?
Régis N'do: I have to admit that I remained calm. It's just that I was thinking that there will be several other AFCONs ahead of us. So there's no point moaning about the fact that I wasn't selected.
