Horoya AC finally got their first win in the group stage of the 2021-2022 CAF Champions League on the fourth day of the competition in group B. The Guinean side beat Raja Casablanca of Morocco 2-1 at home on Saturday. The game looked to be off to a bad start for Lamine Ndiaye's men, who were caught off guard by Raja's 19-minute goal from Hamid Ahaddad. However, the hosts were determined to react quickly. Ocansey Mandela equalized a few minutes later (26'), before Yacouba Barry gave his side the lead from the penalty spot (29').
The second half saw both sides missing out on the knock out blow as chances were spilled at both goal mouths.
Despite the win, Horoya AC remain bottom of Group B with three points. Raja Casablanca (9 pts), for its part, retains its leadership position despite this defeat.
