It's off to the races for the 2023-2024 Caf Cup season. The competition kicked off on Saturday August 19 with the 1st round of preliminary matches, which continued on Sunday August 20. Burkina Faso's Etoile Filante pulled off a major coup by holding Senegal's Casa Sport to a 1-1 draw in the first round of CAF Cup preliminaries. Stade Malien, however, hit back with a convincing 1-3 win over Watanga of Liberia.
