The debate on the legitimacy or the relationship between the Cameroon Football Federation and Sports mark Le Coq Sportif seems to be coming to an abrupt end as announced by the FECAFOOT boss Samuel Eto'o last month,
The national teams of Cameroon will soon be dressed by a new equipment manufacturer. The identity of the brand will be communicated in the coming days, announced the secretary general of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fécafoot).
Indeed, at the end of the recruitment process launched a few weeks ago, a dozen brands have bid. Among them, "several Cameroonian companies", reveals Fécafoot. A shortlist of three files was decided by the ad hoc committee in charge of counting the bids. This list will be submitted to the Executive Committee of the federation as soon as possible. It is at the end of this last stage that the name of the lucky winner will be communicated. It is only a matter of days, we learn.
"The name of an equipment manufacturer respectful of its commitments and proud to associate its name with the prestigious label Indomitable Lions will be revealed in the coming days. The Federation thanks all bidders for their interest in Cameroonian soccer and particularly the Indomitable Lions. Such enthusiasm is undoubtedly proof of a newfound credibility of the Cameroonian soccer governing body," said the Cameroonian soccer authority.
Previous suppliers like Puma have also been reported to be re-associated with the team.
