Mali and Madagascar win on the road
Mali put in the best performance of the day on Saturday. The local Eagles beat Sierra Leone in Monrovia (Liberia) for the first leg. There was no winner between Malawi and Mozambique in these qualifications for the CHAN 2023. The two teams left on a parity score (1-1) at the national stadium of Bingu in Lilongwe. The Mambas opened the score in the eighth minute of play through Nerson Divrassone. The hosts were quick to respond. Yamikani Chester equalized in the 21st minute. And the score will not move. Mozambique returns with a point before hosting the local Flames on September 2.
