There are so many lessons to learn from this weekend. First, the XXL performance of Racing Club d'Abidjan, still undefeated in 13 league matches since the return from the CHAN, and that of its striker, Ouattara Brahima. The former Lausanne Sports and Neuchâtel, Switzerland player, scored his 12th goal in 12 matches in a 4-0 victory over Bouaké FC on Saturday, May 20.

Promoted teams assured of survival

Back in Ligue 1, Denguélé d'Odienné and Stade d'Abidjan will stay there. The two promoted teams have secured their place in the elite. Odienné was satisfied with a 2-2 draw against LYS Sassandra, which ended its 5-game losing streak. Stade d'Abidjan, on the other hand, won a hard-fought game against Sporting Gagnoa (2-3). The Gagnolais (49 points) see their place of runner-up threatened by SOA (48 points), author of a draw against the relegated ES Bafing (0-0). Despite its 3 matches behind, Asec is still leader with 53 points.
