The South African DSTV Premier League entered match day three over the weekend with some derbies producing outstanding results while some clubs are yet to pick first points.
Action kicked off last Friday when Maritzburg United who are still chasing their first victory for the season hosted Swallows. John Maduka's team has attracted less accolade especially from fans as the host had just one short on target in the entire 90 minutes. Both teams produced unwanted actions that characterized the goalless draw.
The big game of the day saw champions Sundowns host Chiefs in a one sided thrilling encounter. What was suppose to be a nut for the host turned out to be a ride as the visitors shipped in four goals. Mamelodi Sundowns (5' Sirino, 17', 52' Shalulile, 76' Nasir) brought smiles for Masandawana.
On Saturday Stellenbosch put three pass Royal AM to bag all three points
Orlando Pirates lost at home to Chippa United by the smallest of margins. 1-0 the game ended. Abdi Banda Banda left it late at the 86th minute to craft the winner.
Look at what the goal meant to Dane Klate who gets his first win in the #DStvPrem as a manager 🥺
