On matchday 29 of the Swiss league, FC Lugano (5th) dominated Lausanne-Ouchy (3-1) with a goal from Ivorian Ousmane Doumbia, while FC Zurich (4th) drew at FC Basel (2-2) with a goal from Guinean Cheick Condé.

Chadian Casimir Ninga gave Sumqayit (4th) an important victory over Araz (1-0), on the 28th day of the Azerbaijan championship.

Nigeria's Ode Abdullahi helped fourth-placed Dainava Altyus beat Suduva 1-0 on Matchday 5 of the Lithuanian championship. His compatriot Phillip Azango helped Trnava (2nd) beat Zilina (1-0) in the play-off for the Slovakian title.

In Romania (play-offs for survival), Ivorian Jonathan Cissé helped 9th-placed Otelul to a 2-1 win over U Craiova 1948.
