FIFA unveils soccer agent exam results

Agents will now take exams to receive their license to practice. The "first class" is unveiled by FIFA on Thursday.

Aspiring soccer agents went through the test phase on April 19 for FIFA's first agent exam. There were 3,800 candidates at the start. The Federation headed by Gianni Infantino published the results of these exams this Thursday, April 27. We can see that 1 962 candidates were admitted after passing the test, a success rate of 52%. These 1962 will be able to practice the profession of agent and arrange transfers anywhere in the world. The candidates come from 138 member associations.

It should also be noted that initially, the number of trainee agents who submitted their applications was 6,586. But for the final exam, only about half of them applied (3,800). Nevertheless, FIFA explains that those who failed the exam will be able to retake it several times. First on September 20, 2023, then in May and November 2024.

In order to organize this examination, FIFA has asked for the help of 300 managers from its Agent Platform. And to encourage players' representatives to apply, FIFA explains that "at the end of the current transition period, the use of licensed soccer agents will become mandatory from 1 October 2023". The soccer umbrella organization wants to regularize the environment to strengthen and better organize the world of agents. Because several stories have broken and handicapped players.
