Guinean striker Guirassy continues his impressive start to the season with another brace for Stuttgart. Salah, Boga, Williams, Hakimi, Mounié, Aboubakar, Choupo-Moting and Amoura were also in the news at the weekend.

Mohamed Salah, who already scored last Thursday in the Europa League against Austrian side Linz ASK (3-1), scored again on Matchday 6 of the English Premier League. The Egyptian converted a penalty against West Ham United (3-1), a win that moved the Reds up to 2nd place. Everton (15th) claimed their first win of the season at Brentford (3-1), with a goal from Malian Abdoulaye Doucouré.

In Germany (Matchday 6), Guinean Serhou Guirassy struck again. The former Rennes player scored twice as VfB Stuttgart (3rd) beat Darmstadt 3-1. Bayern Munich (1st) thrashed Bochum 7-0, with Cameroonian Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting opening the scoring. Bayer Leverkusen (2nd) won easily (4-1) against Heidenheim, with a brace from Nigerian Victor Boniface and a goal from Moroccan Amine Adli. In Spain (Matchday 6), Ghanaian Inaki Williams helped Athletic Bilbao (4th) to a 2-0 win at Alavès.

In France (Matchday 6), many African players were decisive. Brest took 1st place by beating Lyon (1-2) thanks to Benin's Steve Mounié. Nice (2nd) won (1-0) at Monaco, the goal coming from Ivorian Jérémie Boga. Paris-SG (3rd) thrashed Marseille (4-0), with Moroccan Achraf Hakimi opening the scoring. Nantes (9th) beat Lorient (14th) 5-3, with a goal from Egypt's Mostafa Mohamed and a penalty from Nigeria's Moses Simon, while Benin's Tosin Aiyegun scored for Les Merlus. Lens (16th) claimed their first win of the season against Toulouse (2-1), with Guinean Morgan Guilavogui scoring the winning goal. Le Havre (6th) dominated (2-1) Clermont Foot (18th) with a goal from Guinean Mohamed Bayo, his compatriot Cheikh Oumar Konaté having reduced the Auvergnats' deficit.

In Italy (matchday 6), Nigeria's Ademola Lookman scored one of two goals for Atalanta Bergamo (6th) against Cagliari (2-0).

In Belgium (matchday 7), Algerian Mohamed Amoura scored twice to help Union Sainte-Gilloise (4th) beat Cercle Bruges (2-0).Genk (7th), trailing 0-3 to Sint-Truiden, secured a draw thanks to Moroccan Bilal El Khannouss, Nigerian Emmanuel Arokodare and Ghanaian Joseph Paintsil. Leuven (13th) dominated Mechelen (2-1), with a goal from Moroccan Youssef Maziz.

In Scotland (matchday 6), Nigeria's Cyriel Dessers helped Glasgow Rangers (3rd) to a 1-0 win over Motherwell, while Dundee FC (9th) were held to a 2-2 draw by Kilmarnock, despite Sierra Leone's Amadou Bagayoko opening the scoring.

In the Netherlands (Matchday 5), two Moroccan players scored: Benaissa Benamar for Volendam (17th), who were held by Heracles Almelo, and Couhaib Driouech, who scored the first goal for Excelsior Rotterdam (7th), who won 3-0 at Heerenveen.

In Portugal (Matchday 6), Vizela (14th) earned an injury-time point at Estoril (2-2) thanks to Congolese Dylan Saint-Louis. Braga (6th) crushed Boavista (4-1) with a penalty from Libya's Ali Mohamed Al-Musrati.

In Switzerland (matchday 7), Grasshoppers Zurich (9th) drew 1-1 with St. Gallen thanks to Cameroonian William Ndenge. Young Boys Berne (1st) easily beat Lugano (4-1) with a brace from Jean-Pierre Nsamé, another Cameroonian, while Yverdon (7th) dominated FC Basel (3-2) with a goal from Algerian Aymen Mahious.

In Turkey (Matchday 6), Cameroon's Vincent scored again for Besiktas Istanbul (4th) against Kayserispor (6th), who had opened the scoring through Guinea-Bissau's Carlos Mané (2-1).

In the Czech Republic (matchday 9), Viktoria Plzen (3rd) crushed Pardubice (6-2) with a brace from Nigerian Rafiu Durosinmi and a goal from Liberian Sampson Dweh.

In Finland (Matchday 24), a late goal from Burkina Faso's Hassane Bandé enabled HJK Helsinki (1st) to beat SJK (3-2) and close in on the championship title.
