While preparing for the reversed fixture against Angola in view of the U23 AFCON qualifiers, the U23 Lions have had 5 players including Ivan Djantou - rusticated from the den due to issues regarding an artificial pistol. After celebrating an away 2-3 win in Angola, the Olympic team of Cameroon has been rocked with a recent crisis that has left many unanswered questions as the management of the team comes under serious questioning.
The five players were sent parking from camp as a result of videos published, wherein goalkeeper Bruno MBIANDJEU can be seen holding an artificial pistol to scare his teammates in a hotel room while in Angola.
The players who appear in the video are Mbiandjeu, Avom, Bieleu, Ndong and Djantou.

According to further information, the young goalie of OGC NICE (Mbiandjeu) brought along an artificial or toy gun with which he tried to scare his teammates and one of the members of staff stumbled on the video that eventually reached the table of the National Coordinator of Cameroon's selections, Benoît ANGOUA.
The latter immediately requested the expulsion of the five players who appear in the video. Jean Bruno Mbiandjeu, the only player around the unfortunate incident who plies abroad, had his flight sorted out, and so immediately returned to his club in France.
Ivan DJANTOU, who has scored 6 goals; (brace against Angola, and 4 in friendlies prior), has equally been sent back to parent club Astres.
Mbiandjeu and Djantou played in the first leg as Cameroon defeated Angola 2-3 in Luanda last weekend.
The big question remains how could a player posses such an item while in camp with the National team. Are the players and their luggages not controlled upon arrival in camp?.
Yong Sports Academy goalie - Ekoi Manfred has already replaced Mbiandjeu, while other players are expected to take the place of those dismissed.
