Football - Morocco - D1: Bouly Sambou scores twice to keep Wydad in the hunt

Wydad Casablanca took advantage of AS FAR's draw to reduce the gap. The Red and White beat Ittihad of Tangier (3-0) on Tuesday at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca, in a late match of the 20th day of the "Botola Pro D1 inwi".

Facing the bottom side, the Casablanca team quickly launched the hostilities thanks to Bouly Junior Sambou (5th). The Senegalese striker doubled the lead before the half-hour mark (26th), scoring his 13th goal of the season TTC, the 9th in the league. Mohamed Ounnajem will add to the score (32nd) before halftime on a beautiful inspiration of the Libyan leader Mouaid Ellafi.

Bouly Junior Sambou, current top scorer of the championship with Hamza Hannouri of FUS, is in sparkling form since his return from injury. The Senegalese has scored six goals in the last four games in "Botola". He also scored in the CAF LDC against Petro Luanda (2-0) on the previous day.

With this success in the championship, Wydad now has 42 points, two points less than AS FAR, the leader. Good news before the hot Casablanca derby scheduled for the next day, but whose date is yet to be determined.
