Football - Tanzania: New Simba SC coach Manajlovic determined to win titles

Newly appointed head coach of Tanzania Premier League giants Simba SC, Zoran Manajlovic has said he is determined to win titles with his new club.

Zoran Maki, as popularly known, has been officially unveiled by Simba SC today in Dar es salaam, Tanzania today.

The experienced Manojlovic was announced as Simba SC’s new coach last month to replace Spaniard Pablo Franco who spent six months with the Club and failed to defend the Tanzania Premier League title and Azam Federation Cup.

"I'm here to make the Lions better than last season. This year they finished second, next season first, last season they were in the African Confederation Cup and this year they will do well in the African Champions League,” said the Serbian coach.

Manajlovic who thanked the Club for the good welcome said serious work starts now because the ambitions of the Club are big.

“We need to work together to be able to achieve a lot of success for the Club,” added the newly appointed coach.

The new coach has transversed the continent having worked with Primeiro de Agosto (Angola), Wydad Athletic Casablanca (Morocco), Al-Hilal Club (Sudan) and CR Belouizdad (Algeria) among others.

Manjlovic will start his 2022/2023 campaign with a Community Shield match against reigning Tanzania Premier League champions Young Africans SC.
