Friendlies: Guinea's festival, Gabon's difficulties, Rwanda's awakening.

Many friendly matches were played on Monday March 25. One of the highlights was Guinea's resounding scoreline, while Gabon were unable to recover from their defeat by Senegal on Friday March 22.

Comoros and Angola part as good friends

No winners between the Comoros and Angola. The two teams were unable to separate themselves in a friendly match (0-0) played on Monday March 25. The Comoros had beaten Uganda (4-0) in their first match on March 22, while Angola had been dominated by Morocco (1-0).

Gabon held by Congo

After their heavy defeat (3-0) by Senegal on Friday March 22, Gabon needed to respond against Congo on Monday March 24. But the Panthères were unable to do so, drawing 1-1 with their opponents. Axel Meye (39th) opened the scoring for the Gabonese, who were caught by the Congolese patrol in the 74th minute.

Minimal service from Cape Verde

Cape Verde's Blue Sharks did the bare minimum against Equatorial Guinea. Jovane scored the only goal of the friendly in the 65th minute. This showed that victory was slow in coming for the islanders. However, they managed to break the deadlock.

Syli's fireworks

The Guinean national team showed no mercy against Bermuda, who were blown away. The Syli won by a clear 5-1 scoreline. A brace from Morlaye Sylla (11th, 47th), Kandet Diawara (52nd), Jules Keita (61st) and Mamadou Kane (70th) were the Guinean scorers. The opponents' goal was scored by Dante Leverock (15th).

Rwanda win in Madagascar

A draw and a win was Rwanda's record during the March international break.After being held to a draw by Botswana, the Amavubi took on Madagascar on Monday March 25 as part of the international tournament held in Antananarivo (2-0). A goal from Gilbert Mugisha (29th) gave the Rwandans the lead on the scoreboard, before a second goal from Djihad Bizimana in the final moments (90th+1) ensured victory.

Tanzania beat Mongolia

Tanzania will leave the FIFA Series in Azerbaijan with a victory.After losing to Bulgaria, the Taifa Stars put things right with a clear 3-0 victory over Mongolia. However, it was not until the second half that the Tanzanians accelerated and finally forced the issue, first with Kelvin John's opener (49').Suleiman (63rd) and then Miroshi (77th) also scored to round off the scoring.

Burundi and Botswana fail to score

Neither Burundi nor Botswana won the international tournament held in Antananarivo during the March international break. After a defeat and a draw respectively, the two teams were unable to separate themselves in their second match. In the end, they played out a goalless draw (0-0), ahead of their next outings in June as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Central Africa dominates Papua New Guinea

Les Fauves are back on track. After their historic 6-0 win over Bhutan in their first match at the FIFA Series in Sri Lanka, the Central African Republic recorded a 2nd straight victory.Again with style, but this time against Papua New Guinea (4-0). Raoul Savoy's men killed off any suspense in the first half with goals from Yamanendji-Malipangou (11th) and a brace from Godame (25th and 45th). Godame even made it three in the second half with another goal in the last ten minutes (79th). With this victory, the Central Africans have achieved a hat-trick in the competition.
