The plan to turn Moroccan D1 and D2 clubs into sports companies instead of sports associations is underway. Several clubs have already complied with the law, but some are still missing. At the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) on Tuesday, August 2, the new boss of the National Professional Football League (LNFP), Abdeslam Belkhour, suggested that clubs that have not complied with the implementation of this project will be deprived of obtaining a license for the coming season.
"It was agreed to implement all articles relating to the establishment of sports companies, as well as to send a note to all clubs to convert the old sports contracts of associations into contracts of sports companies," said the League President. However, the latter warns the clubs that do not comply with this decision. "They will be deprived of the license," he said.
At this stage, "almost all clubs in the first national division have created sports companies, and have managed to comply with the law 30.09 ...", said the official. But some D2 teams would still be behind in this work. "We have set the current date of August 31, to put the finishing touches to all these projects related to sports companies," said Belkhour.
