The Super Eagles of Nigeria will enter the 2021 AFCON as one of the competition's favorites looking at the debt and quality of the current squad called up by interim head coach. Although the team has recently relied on Napoli's Osimhen and Leicester's Iheanacho, a new and reliable man for the upfront job is emerging for the Green and Whites. Emmanuel Denis is the most prolific of them all. This season the Nigerian has been at the fore front of Watford's ambitions to stay afloat in the Premier League. A familiar name for match commentators as the player is either scoring or creating goals for his side.
Emmanuel Dennis was on target again. The Nigerian international opened the scoring for Watford against West Ham on Tuesday 28 December. The former Brugge man's goal didn't matter much in this match of the 20th day of the Premier League. The Hornets fell at home (1-4).
Dennis scored his eighth league goal of the season, making him the club's top scorer this far.
A big win on the road 💪⚒

West Ham could count on Algeria's Saïd Benrahma. The attacking midfielder scored his team's second goal . With this success, West Ham is 5th. Watford are in 17th place (13 pts), two points ahead of the first relegation zone, Burnley.
Emmanuel Dennis clearly will be heavily missed by Watford especially during the AFCON. Another African is Senegal's Ismaila Sarr who is out with injury for Watford. The players will only be released for the AFCON on January 3. They will directly join the rest of the participating teams in Cameroon which will host the continental show piece from January 9 to February 6.
