Premier League: Salah-Saka, who's the best?

Two magical left feet, two virtuosos of the round ball: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) light up the Premier League. But who's the better magician?

They both symbolize champagne soccer. With Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), it's the expression of talent in all its splendor. The latter is still very young (21), but his whole body is already talking soccer. Like a Great One. As for the Pharaoh, his speed and dribbling skills need no further demonstration. So it's a pleasure to see these two left-handed strikers delighting fans every weekend in the Premier League. Two phenomena on the ball, but between Salah and Saka, there's bound to be someone better.

Joe Cole decides. The former England striker is voting for Mohamed Salah, who he believes is currently better than Bukayo Saka. However, Cole predicts an XXl future for Saka, who will eventually overtake Salah. "I don't think there's anyone else (Saka) in world soccer, apart from maybe Messi, who has such a good left foot," Cole says. "You also have to think that comparisons with Salah are a huge compliment to Saka. Salah is the best, the best left-footed player, first class, but Salah at Saka's age (21) hadn't done what Saka has already done," the former Chelsea star embraces Salah.

"Saka is a gem

Liverpool opened their Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday August 13. While Saka ensured Arsenal got off to a winning start, with his stunning 25-yard strike in the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday August 12. "We all talk about him (Saka), he's a gem, we're so lucky to have him (in the England team). And this club is lucky to have him. He's got such ability and yes, he stands on a par with all the great players in world soccer," concludes Joe Cole.
