Manchester City have won the English Premier League title after beating Aston Villa 3-2 in a crazy scenario. It is the fourth championship title for its Algerian, Riyad Mahrez. Mohamed Salah, on his part, won his third title as top scorer in the league.
Manchester City were focused until the end. The Citizens, who were only one point ahead of Liverpool, had a scare. They were beaten 2-0 by Aston Villa in the final day of the Premier League. Riyad Mahrez, who started the game, was helpless up front. The Algerian was replaced in the 56th minute by Raheem Sterling.

The latter offered Gundogan the goal to reduce the score (76th). It was the beginning of the Skyblues' Remontada. Rodri equalized (78th) and Gundogan's double (82nd) gave Manchester City their eighth Premier League title, their fourth in five seasons.

For Riyad Mahrez, this is his fourth title. He won one with Leicester in 2016 and now three in the blue shirt (2019, 2021, 2022). If he had a more complicated end of season, the captain of the Fennecs has greatly contributed to this success. He scored 11 goals and provided 5 assists in 27 Premier League games this season.

Salah top scorer and top passer
City first with 93 points, Liverpool follow just one point behind (92 pts). The Reds had a tough December but since the start of the year they have been the best team in England and possibly Europe. It's all down to Sadio Mané. The Senegalese quickly got his team back on track Sunday afternoon with an equalizer against Wolverhampton. He ends the season with 16 goals.
His fellow striker Mohamed Salah, who came on as a substitute, scored the 2-1 goal. The Pharaoh finished as the league's top scorer, tied with Tottehnam's Heug Min Son (23 goals). Salah is also the league's top passer with 14 assists.
