Mamelodi Sundowns are just unstoppable. The team is currently leading the log in the South African PSL with a 15 points drift away from their immediate followers.

The side after dominating the possession stakes and had to settle for a slender 2-1 win over basement dwellers Baroka at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, on Tuesday evening.

At this stage, Sundowns have equaled Chiefs’ record of 40 points at the halfway stage of their 2014/15 title-winning season.

Bottom-placed Baroka will remain marooned at the foot-end of the table with 10 points.

The home side has now played 16 league games with 12 wins and 4 draws. They hit the net 28 times within this period and only conceded 6 goals, making them the team with the best attack and defense in the league.
