The Atlas Lions lost 2-0, but French president Emmanuel Macron fell in love with a Moroccan midfielder.
It even prompted President Macron to go and congratulate him in the dressing room.
According to information from Fabrizio Romano, Emmanuel Macron went to the locker room of Morocco to praise acknowledge Sofiane Amrabat who was enormous throughout the competition.
“You are the best midfielder at this World Cup,” Macron reportedly told the player.
