The rivalry seemingly will be a two horse race in Rwanda's Primus League this season. AS Kigali and Kiyovu Sports FC are logged at the top of the league with the former only leading by goal difference.
The team of AS Kigali, ends the first phase of the Rwandan soccer championship in first place despite its defeat (2-1) against Sunrise on match day 15. The team from the city of Kigali took advantage of Rayon Sport's slip-up when they lost to Gasogi United 1-0 to keep the first place.
Rayon Sport, which has zero points in the last three games of the first phase, falls to 5th place. Their coach, Francis Haringingo, is in danger of losing his position.
The teams of Marines and Espoir who have great difficulties to win a game are respectively 15th and 16th. Espoir has already sacked its coach, Bisengimana Justin.
